{"id":97,"date":"2016-08-28T21:20:41","date_gmt":"2016-08-28T21:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pro-duck.com\/test\/?post_type=portfolio_page&#038;p=97"},"modified":"2024-06-16T08:23:13","modified_gmt":"2024-06-16T08:23:13","slug":"fluxland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pro-duck.com\/2024\/fluxland\/","title":{"rendered":"Fluxland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fluxland is the name of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyrildecommarque.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cyril de Commarque<\/a>&#8216;s boat sculpture and performance for the <a href=\"https:\/\/totallythames.org\/event\/fluxland-a-new-interactive-artwork-by-artist-cyril-de-commarque\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Thames Festival<\/a> in London 2017.<\/p>\n<p>A Dutch barge stripped to its core, its length went from 38 to 25m, the upper deck was replaced by a glass fibre reinforced plastics shell, clad in stainless steel polished mirror sheets.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/fluxland.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fluxland project<\/a> started in the Netherlands where the boat has been dismantled and rebuild, its finishing has been carried out in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As the technical development manager for this project, I was in charge of researching suitable building technologies that could apply to this unique case.
